The Video Production Process

The First Step

Commissioning a video can be a daunting prospect especially if it’s your first venture. You’re likely to have all sorts of questions about what’s involved. So, with that in mind, we’ll schedule an initial meeting where we’ll discuss your business, the challenges you face in your marketplace, your current communications methods and how video can support or enhance them, your target audiences and what you want to tell them. We’ll also discuss who or what needs to be featured, potential locations, if special resources are needed, timescales, etc. We will then prepare a budget proposal for your consideration.

The Next Stage

Once we have your approval we’ll get production underway. We’ll prepare scripts, arrange any resources required, schedule dates, locations, and people, etc. Once everything is in place, we’ll capture all the footage required to bring your story to life. When planning, we build in a contingency element to address any unexpected issues that may arise. Also, we always look to provide added value for you, so we’ll make sure that where it’s appropriate, we’ll shoot additional material that could be used in future projects.

Post Production

Once shooting is complete we then move to post-production where the material is carefully and creatively edited to structure your film. We’ll also add any additional elements you’ve specified such as a voiceover, graphics, music, etc. We’ll provide a draft copy and discuss whether any changes are required. We’ll then carry out final sound and colour grading, and deliver your finished film in the formats you require.
