Why Video?

How Could Video Help Your Business?

Video is a dynamic way to engage with people. More than any other type of content, it can inspire, excite, motivate and entertain, making it the perfect method for building a narrative about your brand and beginning conversations with potential and existing clients.

It can capture powerful client testimonials, demonstrate your products or services, and much more. It will work across your social media platforms, widening your reach and giving you a greater return on the investment in production costs.

It can also help you to communicate more effectively with your staff about key issues specific to them.

How Effective Is It?

There are a wealth of statistics that endorse the power and effectiveness of video. In 2020, 92% of marketers said that video was an important part of their marketing strategy. This has grown from 78% in 2015, showing that the importance of video is only growing.

For example, it’s widely acknowledged that people will spend more time on a website with video content than on one without and that video will have an impact on their decision-making when looking to buy a product or service.

It’s Achievable for You

As production processes have developed over time, video is no longer the domain of large organisations with big budgets. Increasingly, small and medium-sized businesses are successfully using video as part of their communications strategy to engage more effectively with their target audiences.

You may have considered its use but been unsure where to start. Thinking that it could be too complicated or expensive, you might have dismissed the idea completely or decided to take another look in the future.

But like many businesses, you may have experienced unprecedented challenges as a result of the Covid pandemic, and in looking to the future, it’s more important than ever to be proactive in getting your messages out there. We can help you achieve that, and you might be pleasantly surprised at how cost-effective it could be.

The Video Production Process

The First Step

Commissioning a video can be daunting especially if it’s your first venture. You’ll have lots of questions about what’s involved, so, with that in mind, we’ll meet with you to find out about your business, the challenges you face in your marketplace, your current communications methods and how video can support or enhance them, what you want your video to achieve, your target audiences and what you want to tell them. We’ll also discuss who or what needs to be featured, potential locations, if special resources are needed, timescales, etc. We will then prepare a budget proposal for your consideration.

The Next Stage

Once you approve the proposal we’ll prepare scripts, arrange resources required, schedule dates, locations, and people, etc. Once everything is in place, we’ll capture the footage required to bring your story to life. When planning, we build in a contingency element to address any unexpected issues that may arise. Also, we always look to provide added value, so we’ll make sure that where it’s appropriate, we’ll shoot additional material that could be used in future projects.

Post Production

After filming is complete we move to post-production where the material is carefully and creatively edited to structure your film. We’ll add any additional elements you’ve specified such as a voiceover, graphics, music, etc. We’ll provide a draft copy and discuss whether any changes are required. We’ll then carry out the final sound and colour grading, and deliver your finished film in the formats you require.
